For the 2013 CEO message there was a strong push away from the graphic styles employed in earlier GE media. The dots which were everywhere in the GE 2012 CEO message were banished, as was the “text in space” treatment.
As this piece was being developed in tandem with both the physical, printed version of the annual report as well as the digital / online version, we were faced once more with an ever-morphing project. As the printed version was developed, the look of the two other pieces would need to match, and the printed version continued to change until literally the last minute.
My role was a little different this year, acting as motion graphics artist as well as assistant editor and assistant producer. Vincent Reynaud was my co-conspirator for the graphics. Richard Colbourne was creative director, Kin Yuen was design director, and Gonzalo de la Asunción was the art director. Jay Gillespie was the cinematographer for the interview, Danny Prussmann was the editor and Rebecca Horne was our producer.
